David Cushway - Ceramics occupies a unique position in humankind: it is used in all ceremonies associated with life, death and everything in between. Our relationship to the earth from which we draw clay to use is a fundamental concern within my practice. So one may say that my work encompasses the archaeological, environmental, cultural, spiritual and functional, in terms of clay and its uses. -
